Alcohol inks create vibrant transparent colour unlike any other medium and form lovely patterns within your painting.
Alcohol Ink is a highly pigmented and quick-drying medium applied by pouring, brushing or stamping on a non-porous surface such as Yupo. The vibrant colours of this ink intermingle creating unique textural effects, often leading to unexpected results.
Our class will begin with a demonstration of techniques of pouring, brushing and creating textures with inks and other materials. The remaining time will be spent discovering the unique possibilities of working with alcohol inks on Yupo, with sufficient time to complete many paintings. Each participant will leave with a number of experimental pieces.
Tracey has many years of experience guiding beginner and intermediate artists in creating pieces they proudly cherish. This workshop is perfect for those who just don’t have the time to commit to a full class term or want to try something new.
Included: Tuition, ink and paper, morning tea & coffee, snacks and parking.
Please bring: an old bed sheet or bath towel to cover the table, your lunch, a coffee cup, apron and enthusiasm!
